Local Government Energy Assessment

SEDA-COG's Weatherization Department provides independent, low-cost energy assessments for local governments.  During an energy assessment, a certified Weatherization technician uses state-of-the-art blower door technology to measure how airtight your facilities are and identify sources of air leakages.  Infrared technology is used to check the level and condition of your insulation, locate thermal defects and diagnose hidden performance problems.  Upon completion of an energy assessment, municipalities receive a comprehensive report on our findings, prioritized recommendations to help the municipality decide when and where to invest in energy-saving measures based on your budget and guidance on selecting qualified improvement contractors, should that be necessary.  We also suggest simple, no-cost changes to assist in reducing your energy consumption. Please contact Katie Ruiz at kruiz@seda-cog.org or 570.524.4491 for more information.

SEDA-COG’s Energy Resource Center has compiled a directory of known for-profit and non-profit organizations that provide energy assessment services to clients within our region. The information in the directory, accessed through the link above, has been provided by these organizations. SEDA-COG assumes no responsibility for accuracy of the information or the quality of services provided.   This directory will be updated periodically to accommodate additional firms. If you need additional assistance, call SEDA-COG’s Energy Resource Center at 570.524.4491.
