Climate Change Policy and Vehicular Use

This Congressional Budget Office issue brief examines the role of passenger vehicles in the US effort to curb CO2 emissions. In particular, the brief looks at how putting a price on CO2 emissions would affect gasoline prices and, as a consequence, vehicle emissions.

 

Green Communities

This site provides information about Green Communities, which provides funding and information to help housing developers build and rehabilitate houses to become better for the environment without high costs. Additionally, Green Communities assists state and local governments concerning housing and economic development policies to ensure policies are smart and sustainable. 

 

This site has information to help communities design and implement innovative strategies that enhance the local economy as well as the local environment and quality of life. Initiatives and financial opportunities, including grants and other funding, are described here.
 
The National Healthy Homes Training Center & Network is a partnership that brings together public health and housing practitioners to promote practical and cost-effective methods for making homes healthier. It also serves as a forum for exchanging information on new research and best practices. This site provides links to upcoming events, recent research, and priority programs.

Post Carbon Institute
The Post Carbon Institute conducts research, develops techinical tools, and organizes leaders to help communities understand and respond to fossil fuel depletion and climate change. This site contains links to events, articles, and commentary about a broad range of community organizational actions. It also links to the Post Carbon Communities site, which provides Energy Independence Strategies developed by participating communities.
