Energy efficiency improvements typically offer the most cost effective answer to high energy bills in our schools and produce significant environmental benefits in the community. This site provides information about the Energy Harvest Program, which encourages renewable energy installations for schools. This year, schools will receive extra credit if they demonstrate completion of various energy savings projects using the criteria listed in the project selection section of this page.

Energy Design Guidelines for High Performance Schools 
The US Department of Environmental Protection's Energy Star Program has developed this document to assist schools in evaluating their construction needs and to assist them in the selection of an appropriate architect or engineer. 
 
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provides an easy-to-use online energy audit calculator to assist administrators audit and manage the energy costs of their facilities.
